Rollecate Group was founded in 1954 by Roelof Roo, Hendrik Zwerus and Hendrik Vonder and has since become a respected name in the façade industry throughout the world. The original Rollecate started out by manufacturing steel windows and doors; (hyperlink) Today the Rollecate Group is a multifaceted business manufacturing Aluminium, Steel and PVC facades internationally.
In 1988 Roelof Roo became the sole owner of Rollecate, and in 1990 he passed on the company to his two sons, Johan and Diederik Roo. It was a difficult period in the market, but entrepreneurship is in Rollecate's blood and in 1994 the brothers Roo successfully negotiated the acquisition of Alurage, an Aluminium Façade manufacturers from Enschede Holland. This was the first step towards an international company with multiple divisions. The following this acquisition, Alurage came the export arm of Rollecate Group. This was followed by the founding of Tengelic in Hungry in 1997, Rollecate training School 2002, GevelBeheer-Nederland, (service & Maintenance), 2003 and Holland Composite Facades. In addition to forming new businesses they also strategically realised the acquisitions of Eland-Brandt of Amsterdam 2004, Kumij uPVC of Groningen 2013 and the Joint venture Partnership with KTD Facades in the UK in 2014. Today the Rollecate International headquarters remains in Staphorst and holds on to the same foundational principles of craftsmanship and quality.
